With the development of economic globalization and China’s access to WTO, foreign economic and trade business developed rapidly in China. The total volume of import and export trade increased from CNY 11 trillion in 2005 to CNY 26 trillion in 2014 with the general rising status. China is the world’s largest trading nation instead of the U.S. As the most important transportation carrier of ocean shipping, containers play a crucial role in the development of shipping. In spite of the decline of the import and export value, China remained the first of global trade in goods from 2015 on.

The demand for renewal and elimination of containers will maintain steady growth as the global container reserves increase and the service life grows. Based on Chart Global Annual Output Volume Distribution of Containers, the output volume of global containers reached the peak value around 2000 and 2007 in the past 20 years. The output volume concentrated on these years. According to the service life of the container for about 8 to 12 years, the existing containers will usher in a new round of change requirements before 2019.
